In the unlikely event that your server is lost or destroyed, you need to have a backup system that will restore your data to its original form. Unix&NT/2002-Mäklarna  offers several robust backup services for SQL 7.0 and Oracle databases, plus disk-to-disk backup, tape backup and tape rotation services for our Linux and NT/2000 servers.

The table below identifies the backup software Unix&NT/2002-Mäklarna  offers for each server platform.

Tape Backup

For servers configured with tape drives, full tape backup services with email notification are available on a daily or weekly basis. Unless otherwise specified, weekly backups are performed late Sunday evening. For maximum protection, we highly recommend implementing our tape rotation service.

Tape Rotation Service

To ensure data reliability, Unix&NT/2002-Mäklarna  offers standard AA/BB tape rotation on a weekly or monthly basis (you must have a tape drive in your server). This service can be used in conjunction with our tape backup service or we can rotate tapes that you back-up remotely. All tapes are stored in our off-site, fire-safe, secured facility. Tape rotation is performed late Sunday evenings unless otherwise specified.


Disk-To-Disk BounceBack Solution

BaunceBack is a disk-to-disk backup option that is unique to Unix&NT/2002-Mäklarna . It allows you to back up any single hard drive to a backup hard drive of the same size, in much the same way that RAID does. BounceBack performs a full backup of all data at weekly intervals, giving you 100% data integrity. This makes it one of the most comprehensive, thorough, and reliable backup solutions available.


Database Backup Service

For those seeking more robust backup on higher-end server database applications, such as SQL 7.0 and Oracle, Unix&NT/2002-Mäklarna  has partnered with SiteLite for comprehensive solutions for all database backup, monitoring, and problem identification needs.

BOUNCE BACKUP

What is Bounce Backup?

Bounce Backup is a proprietary disk-to-disk backup option that is unique. It allows you to back up any

 single hard drive to a backup hard drive of the same size, in much the same way that RAID does. Bounce Backup

is available for Microsoft NT 4.0 and Linux single hard disk and configurations. (Currently Bounce Backup is not

 available for Windows 2000 or multiple hard disk configurations).


How Does it Work?

Bounce Backup performs a full backup of all data at weekly intervals, giving you 100% data integrity. This makes it

one of the most comprehensive, thorough and reliable backup solutions available.

 To perform the backup, Bounce Backup takes the server offline for approximately 15 minutes for every 2 GB of data

 to be backed up. This ensures that no data can be modified during the backup process, and gives you a complete

snapshot of ALL your data so that it can be rapidly restored in the event of data loss. There is no extra charge for restoring this data.
